As the red-green alliance tightens it’s stranglehold on academia, news media, social media, and NGOs, more and more smart, capable, good-hearted humanitarians get manipulated or coerced into movements that are actually in direct opposition to their own ethics, morals, values, ideals, and interests. The bad actors in the red-green alliance understand that they can weaponize western liberal guilt and good intentions as well as intersectional language and historical traumas, to corral people who truly care about human rights into anti-human rights movements.

They rely on emotional manipulation, deception, lack of firsthand knowledge, and social pressure to ensure that people don’t think too much about the causes and movements they are supporting. And often the consequences of recognizing the issues, asking hard questions, confronting cognitive dissonance, and “speaking truth to power”are just too dire, so it’s much easier for people to goose-step in line, rather than risk their entire community and identity.

But more and more of us are seeing through the propaganda and disinformation campaigns, being brave, risking it all, speaking up, and walking away.

Here are just 4 examples of individuals who cared enough to question the group-think, step out of line, find their voices, and fight for what’s right, rather than what is popular.

This is what it looks like when the “woke” wake up.
