What they bring
A Jordanian-born former Muslim who converted to Christianity in 2008 and spent fourteen years in ministry across the Middle East, he reads Islam as a political movement and refuses to separate Islam from Islamism.
Why they're here
He built the Ideological Defense Institute to give the month an argument rather than a grievance: doctrine read in the open, apostasy described by someone who paid for it, and the Christian communities of the region treated as evidence instead of anecdote. He is equally willing to turn that argument on the Western right when it answers Islamism with conspiracy theories about Israel.
